Austin Kessler

Music Instructor

 

Austin loves teaching others, and loves music. Austin has been teaching music since he was 15 years old, and has been playing instruments since he was 8. He began studying piano privately with a professor at Stetson’s University of Music, and networked with several music instructors to learn how to better convey the information he is teaching. So students can have a more comprehensive experience. Austin has knowledge and experience in guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele. Austin has spent time creating online video lessons and books to help with learning music (specifically on guitar) so that outside the classroom students have the opportunity to revisit subject matter. Austin also strong foundation of knowledge in music theory, which he studied in High School in a college level course. Austin wants to share his expertise to create a fun and exciting learning experience for every student that walks through our doors.

Ana Caban

Cello & Violin Instructor

 

Ana has 7 years of college training in musical performance. She has also been teaching string instruments for over 18 years. Ana currently performs with the Maitland Symphony Orchestra. Ana’s desire to bring a love for classical music to her students is something that we greatly value.

darious

Darious Wilson

Guitar Instructor

 

Darious has earned his Associate of Arts Degree from Daytona State College. He has been playing guitar for over eight years, and he took private guitar lessons for two of those years. He has a strong focus in improvising while playing in genres such as funk, jazz, and metal. He has a desire to teach his students to always be honest in the classroom and to be who they are when they are playing their instrument. His unique playing, and equally unique teaching style means there is never a dull moment in a class. Darious has a strong passion for expressing his creativity in music and sharing that with his students so that might too have the experience to create their own unique style and understanding of the guitar.

David Bernard

Song Writing Instructor

 

David Bernard is a soul-indie, singer-songwriter. A Maimi native, David began exploring his musical ability as a teen. David has a deep passion for creating music that has holds meaning through stories that resonate with his listeners’ and connect to their everyday lives. It is his hope to construct music that leaves a timeless impact. David has collaborated with various independent artists. He has participated in songwriting showcases using his originals. David is currently under contract with a publishing company to further his dream to bring life-changing music to the world.

Jonah Dujanovic

Piano Instructor

 

Jonah has been playing the piano for over a decade. He has privately studied with inspiring local instructors. Jonah looks forward to taking his experience to the next level by educating his students. He takes everything he has learned and applies it when teaching others. This way students gain the most information from their instruction. Jonah performs solo and collaboratively in various venues. He has also been involved in our Summer Music Programs, and shares a strong desire to help students discover a passion in music. Jonah strives to see students enjoy and love the sharing of music as much as he loves sharing it with others.

jonathan a

Jonathan Anderson

Voice Instructor

 

Jonathan is a graduate of Stetson University School of Music with skills in guitar and classical singing.  Jonathan is a private lesson voice instructor as well as our Singing Group instructor. Alongside teaching here at the Youth Performing Arts Training Center he is also the Choir Director at Deltona Middle School. With this he has gained the respect of a lot of our students here at the YPATC in various departments.

Jonathan Frost

Brass & Woodwind Instructor

 

Jonathan is an experienced performer, arranger\orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist. Jonathan’s current music endeavors include directing the Ensemble Ut Mi Sol. Jonathan has had over eight years of teaching experience to students of all ages. He teaches the flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, beginner trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and beginner tuba. He is an excellent example to our students that it is possible to learn various instruments and to succeed at it!

juliana

Juliana Parra

Violin Instructor

 

Juliana is a violinist from Medellin, Colombia. She has been a part of the Florida Youth Orchestra and was the Concertmaster of Dillard Center for the Arts for three years running. Juliana is currently studying Music Performance at Stetson University and is apart of the first violin section in the Symphonic and Chamber Orchestra with whom she has traveled nationally. She desires to teach her students that anything is possible and that hard work does pay off.

Valentine Agranovsky

Piano Instructor

 

Valentine has been playing the piano since she was 5 years old. She is a certified teacher and has been teaching the piano for over 5 years. Valentine strives to share her knowledge with students who want to excel in piano. Her patience and love for her students is what helps make her a valued addition to our team.
